True North Tours has provided a unique, alternative style of Canadian Rocky Mountain adventure for over 15 years.

Beginning with our original Rocky Express 6 day “backpacker” tour, we now have another great value tour, 3 days in length.

They'll appeal to anyone with a hankering for adventure, love of the mountains and a willingness try new experiences.

In our unique approach, a great (low cost) “base” tour is provided to which you can add as many extras as you want.
Combining adventure, fun and self discovery, every tour is different. There's no pressure to do or buy any unwanted extras, and you can do as much, or as little as you want.

Always included in the tour price are transport, most meals, accommodation, your guide, taxes and park passes, great hiking, scenery and wildlife viewing. Everything else is optional. 
You can take quiet time to soak in the beauty, a short guided hike, or select from the daily range of activities.
The adventure activities range from mild to extreme, there's something to suit everyone.

Accommodation is in Hostelling International’s Alpine and Wilderness Hostels right in the National Parks. In these special places we can share a crackling campfire in the evening, wake up to the chatter of a mountain stream, see wildlife out the window.

Our guides are MPHIA certified, have local knowledge and a passion for the mountains.
